Bruce C Kelsey, an A-level squash player, a champion platform tennis player, a scratch golfer, and a quick-witted bridge player, passed away at 70.
Kelsey was the son of Jack and Elsie Kelsey, of Short Hills, New Jersey. He graduated from Short Hills Country Day School, The Lawrenceville School, and Washington & Jefferson College.
Bruce was a naturally gifted athlete and a fierce competitor from a young age.
He played tennis and golf as an adult. One of his proudest accomplishments was winning the APTA Platform Tennis National Championship in 1995 with his partner, David Ohlmuller.
Bruce played golf regularly and competitively, including over 75 member-guest tournaments, most often with his brother, John, recording several victories and many strong finishes.
He found a renewed love for bridge during his illness and played continually with friends and family until the final days of his life.

He will always be remembered as a kind and loyal friend with a terrific sense of humor and a love of life.
His signature booming voice left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Bruce is survived by his wife, Brenda, their cherished dog, Palmer, and her three adult daughters, Melissa, Gretchen, and Jody Sargeant.
He also had eleven grandchildren: his brother, John Kelsey, and his wife, Pam; his niece and nephew, Lisa Pisano and Jay Kelsey, and their children.
