Foyesade Oluokun was born on 2nd August 1995 in St.Louis, Missouri. To date, he is 29 years old. He has an older brother named Fadeseye Oluokun.

Oluokun is of Nigerian descent as he was born to Nigerian parents. However, in 1983 his father, Steve Oluokun, migrated to the USA from Nigeria.

Oluokun attended John Burroughs School. His first love was basketball. But since his junior year, he started taking a serious interest in football. However, Oluokun firstly participated in soccer before other sports. 

As there were only 26 players on the football team, Oluokon played as wide receiver and defensive end.

In total, Oluokun received 8 varsity letters for football and basketball.

During his senior year at high school, Oluokun earned all-League, all-district, and all-state first team. Likewise, in basketball, he earned all-league and all-district honors.

Decision

After Oluokun drew interest from colleges, his parent’s emphasis on education for him, they didn’t want to send him to colleges that didn’t value academics.

Considering his athletic skills and academic grades, he was meant to play in Ivy School leagues.

In high school, Oluokun graduated with a 3.8 GPA and secured a 30 on his ACT.

Education was always a priority in Oluokun households. So Oluokun narrowed his option to 3 elite academic colleges, i.e., Yale, Harvard, and Pennsylvania, to succeed in academics and sports. 

Firstly, he visited Yale basketball camp and a week later to their football camp. Later, on 30th July 2013, he committed to Yale Bulldogs.

College 

Over his four years in Yale, he played 42 games finishing with 271 tackles, 13.5 tackles for loss, and 4 interceptions.

Later, he completed a 40-yard dash in 4.48 seconds and the shuttle run in 4.12 seconds. 

Oluokun’s time in the 40-yard dash would have placed him 6th among combine linebackers, whereas his shuttle run time would be placed second. Furthermore, he completed 18 reps in the bench press.

Beginning of Journey

Later, in the 2018 NFL draft, Foyesade Oluokun was selected by Atlanta Falcons. Moreover, he was selected in the 6th round as the 200th pick.

Oluokon joined Falcons training camp as a special team player and backup linebacker.
