The professional tennis player Daniil Medvedev and his wife are doting parents to their daughter, Alisa.

After five years of marriage and nine years of dating, the couple is now parents to a sole child.

The tennis star verified the news by posting a sweet photo of his daughter on Instagram.

Daniil Medvedev was born in Moscow on 11 February 1996 to Sergey and Olga Medvedev.

He played his first junior match in July 2009 at a grade 4 tournament in Estonia and made his ATP main debut at the 2015 Kremlin Cup.

However, the Russian made his ATP singles main draw debut at the 2016 Nice Open, losing his first singles final only in January 2017.

Later, in 2018 he won his first-ever ATP title at the Sydney International.

Furthermore, winning his second ATP at the 2018 Winston-Salem Open with the ATP title in Tokyo the same year made him the number 1 player in Russia.

Similarly, the player has won 20 ATP Tour singles titles, together with the 2021 U.S. Open and 2020 ATP Finals.

The first and only player to defeat the top three ranked players in the world was defeated by Rafael Nadal in the semifinals of the 2022 Australian Open final.

However, Medvedev ascended to world number 1 for the first time in the same tournament.

Daniil Medvedev Has a Daughter 

Daniil and his wife, Daria, have one biological daughter, Alisa.

The couple welcomed their newborn on October 14, 2022, and announced her birth on their Instagram, posting a picture of her sleeping.

“14.10.2022. Welcome to the world, baby girl,” Medvedev wrote, finishing the caption with a heart.

The following April, Daniil shared more snaps of the baby as she was baptized with her family and friends around her.

Previously, the net master called himself “a bit of a cold person in life,” but he says his “sensitive” side also came to the fore when he became a father.

The tennis pro named his fellow tennis player and friend, Andrey Rublev, as her godfather.

Former world No 1 Daniil Medvedev says that becoming a father made him the happiest he has ever been in his life.

Meet His Wife Daria Medvedev

Daniil is exclusive about his private life, but he started dating Daria Medvedev back in 2014 for the first time.

However, the two met each other when Daria was 12 years old Daria in a café near the local tennis court.

The two tied the knot in 2018 before the tennis star played in the Davis Cup for Russia.

Daria, the Russian born, used to play tennis during her teenage but failed to make a professional due to injuries.

Later, she pivoted toward a career in journalism, enrolling at the Moscow State Institute of International Relations.

Daniil has attributed much of his success to his wife and claimed that without her backing, he wouldn’t be as good of a player.

“She’s one of the most important members of my team,” he said during a press conference in 2019.

“She gave me a lot of confidence. I always say that it’s the moment I made the proposal to her that’s when I started to go up,” he added.

Daria has always been a strong support for her husband and regularly attends his matches.
