2013 season

After becoming undrafted during the 2013 NFL Draft, Jahleel signed as an undrafted free agent with the San Diego Chargers on April 29th, 2013.

He competed against Brandon Taylor, Sean Cattouse, and Darrell Stuckey throughout the training camp for the backup safety role. 

Addae was successful in impressing the coaching staff and head coach Mike McCoy. He became the backup free safety behind Eric Weedle during the start of the regular season.

Jahleel made his professional regular-season debut during the San Diego Chargers’ season-opener against the Houston Texans.

He managed five season-high solo tackles and made his first career sack on October 20th, 2013.

2014 season

During the 2014 second preseason game, Addae suffered from an injury in his hamstring while playing against the Seattle Seahawks.

He missed two games of the regular season due to his injury.

He returned to play strong and achieved his first start of the season with seven combined tackles on September 21st, 2014.

While playing in the first quarter of the game, a possible concussion was seen, but Addae cleared the concussion screening.

The San Diego Chargers signed a second-round tender and one-year worth $2.55 million contract with Addae on March 25th, 2016.

During one of the season’s games, The NFL punished Jahleed for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Jeremy Maclin and fined him $24,309.

Sadly, Jahleel left the game during the fourth quarter and stayed on the sideline for the next eight games after hurting a broken clavicle while getting a tackle on Denard Robinson.
