After that, on July 11, 2016, Green signed with Pallacanestro Trieste of the Serie A2 Basket in Italy. In 45 games with Trieste in the 2016–17 season, he averaged 15.6 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 2.4 steals per game.

The Basketball Bundesliga team Ratiopharm Ulm acquired Javonte on July 25, 2018. In 51 games between the league and EuroCup, Green averaged 13.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 2.3 steals per game.

In the 2019 NBA Summer League, Javonte Green played for the Boston Celtics in five games & averaged 10.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 2.8 assists, and 1.8 steals per game.
