Jermaine O’Neal and his wife, Mesha O’Neal, have been together for almost three decades.
The couple also have two children; both are athletes in their own right.
Jermaine Lee O’Neal Sr. was born in Columbia, South Carolina, on October 13, 1978. He is a former professional basketball player.
The centre-power forward’s high school career is a very notable one. He even declared his NBA draft eligibility right after high school in 1996.
He was selected by the Portland Trail Blazers as the 17th overall choice when he was only 17 years old.
Furthermore, he made his professional debut at the age of 18. Jermaine was the youngest player to ever play in an NBA game at the time.
However, O’Neal could not secure a spot on the Portland Trail Blazers’ first team. He was then moved to the Indiana Pacers in 2000.
In 2021, O’Neal was listed as an executive producer on the Netflix film Untold: Malice at the Palace.
He is the current head basketball coach of Dynamic Prep Academy in Irving, Texas.
Meet Jermaine O’Neal Wife, Mesha O’Neal
Jermaine O’Neal is happily married to his wife, Mesha O’Neal. They tied the knot on August 21, 2005.
Mesha’s date of birth is October 30, and her zodiac sign is Scorpio.
She constantly aspires to improve herself and pushes her husband to do so, too.
She is always grinding hard in the gym, which she constantly posts in her Instagram stories. The stories of her working out seem to be endless.
The couple love each other very much and constantly show their love on social media.
They often post each other on Father’s/Mother’s Day wishing each other.
The couple also has two children, Jermaine Jr. (son) and Asjia (daughter).
As a sophomore in high school, Asjia committed to the University of Texas at Austin.
She was a three-year varsity volleyball player at Carroll Senior High School in Southlake, Texas.
Furthermore, Asjia has also had the opportunity to represent her country internationally.
She debuted for the US national team in the 2023 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League.
Meet Their Daughter Asjia
As mentioned earlier, Jermaine and his wife have two children together. Their daughter Asjia O’Neal was born on October 23, 1999.
She is an American player who plays college volleyball for the Texas Longhorns.
After fourth grade, she began practicing basketball with her father, who introduced her to sports.
However, she began volleyball only in eighth grade in 2012, after moving from Miami to Dallas.
Additionally, she had her first open-heart surgery at the age of 13 for a congenital mitral valve leak.
Asjia was diagnosed with a mitral valve leak, a condition characterized by incomplete closure of the valve between heart chambers, leading to blood leakage.
The first indication of this condition occurred in 2013, shortly after she embarked on her volleyball journey.
With the intensification of her physical activities, the valve leak worsened, necessitating open-heart surgery.
A corrective measure involved placing a ring around the valve to stop leakage.
