Johnathan Paul Manziel is a professional football quarterback who gained recognition for his two seasons with the Cleveland Browns in the National Football League (NFL)

Since childhood, Manziel was engaged in every sport, and while attending Tivy High School, he shifted to baseball and football.

It was in football that he garnered significant attention, being regarded as a “folk hero” by sportswriters, coaches, and parents.

As he continued to play football, he was chosen by the Browns as the 22nd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft.

Although he experienced some success, his performance was inconsistent.

Moreover, he faced several controversies outside the game, ultimately leading to his release from the team after the 2015 season.

Even though they tried hard to help their son, all their efforts went down the drain.

Netflix Documentary “Untold: Johnny Football”

Once again, Johnny Manziel is making headlines for a new Netflix documentary called “Untold: Johnny Football,” released on August 8, 2023.

Unlike many documentaries with a positive spin, this one takes a different route.

Instead, it shows the darker chapters of Johnny Manziel’s life after his NFL career with the Cleveland Browns ended.

In the documentary, Manziel talks openly about his struggles with bipolar disorder and how he tried to end his life after leaving the Browns in 2016.

Despite all this, he didn’t reach out for help. The documentary covers a situation in which his former girlfriend accused him of domestic violence in early 2016. However, the charges were later dropped after he reached an agreement with the prosecutors.
