Erosa (fully named Julian Ricardo Dulican Erosa) was born on July 31, 1989, under Leo’s sun sign in Seattle, Washington.
Apparently, Erosa is the eldest son of Debbie Erosa and Ricardo Erosa and has a younger sibling named Ricky Erosa. However, they later moved to Yakima, and that was where he grew up.

Julian Erosa | Amateur Career
During his tenure in the Yakima MMA, he met the legendary coach Rich Guerin, who had previously trained former world champion Miesha Tate and UFC standout Bryan Caraway.
Also, with a coach like him, he fell deeper for the sport and continued to fight his way.
By the end of his amateur career in 2010, Erosa had maintained an impressive amateur record of 10-0, where he had straight nine wins. Advancing on, Erosa started professionally the same year.
Back then, he fought pout mostly in the Pacific Northwest region, in the CageSport promotion. Ultimately, he posted a record of 7–0.
Following it, he stepped into the CageSport Featherweight Championship, where he stood up against Ryan Mulvihill for the vacant title.
On April 28, 2012, in CageSport 19, Erosa bagged the title but could not defend it over Drew Brokenshire at CageSport 22 on December 1, 2012.

later in the year, Julian Erosa lost the biggest support of his life, his father. It was the week before his fifth amateur fight; he lost his father due to brain cancer.
