Justin Myrl Allgaier is a professional stock car racing driver born on June 6, 1986. He drives the No. 7 Chevrolet Camaro in the NASCAR Xfinity Series for JR Motorsports.

At age five, he had already started his racing career in quarter midgets. Later, he went on to win over a hundred races and five championships.

Following that, the racer joined JR Motorsports on October 28, 2015, in the Xfinity Series Season in 2016. Since then, he has continued growing and has been affiliated with multiple renowned teams.

Overall, the 2008 ARCA Re/Max Series champion is also the winner of the NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year in 2009.

Besides, after his win at Bristol Motor Speedway, the seasoned racer announced his comeback for the 2024 Xfinity Series season.

Justin Allgaier has time and again dedicated his career and wins to his dad, Mike Allgaier. His dad also raced cars in the early 1970s for a brief.

The professional racer was born to his parents, Mike and Dorothy Allgaier. His parents have always been involved in racing but through business.

Mike Allgaier, the owner of the Hoosier Midwest Tire distributorship in Springfield, Illinois, has a rich history of supplying race tires to the ARCA for an extensive period.

Mike’s journey into the racing world began with humble origins. He initially ventured into selling tools, parts, and even building and selling racecars before ultimately finding his calling in the tire industry.

Despite his significant influence on his son, it was Dorothy who played a pivotal role in igniting their son’s passion for racing. She took young Justin to the racetrack for the very first time, setting the stage for his remarkable career.

As Justin grew older, his love for the sport flourished while working alongside his father, selling tires at tracks for years. Their shared experiences in the racing world deepened their bond.

When the aspiring racing champion expressed his desire to pursue a career in racing, Mike initially struggled with denial. However, he would later wholeheartedly support his son throughout his career, showcasing a profound fatherly love.

In numerous interviews, Mike has shared stories of how he and his father used to travel together for practice sessions. Despite facing challenges in life, his father has always stood by his side, serving as a constant source of support and guidance.

Interestingly, the professional racer inherited his nickname from his father. Everyone on the tracks fondly referred to his dad as “Gator” because his last name happened to match with that of an alligator.

The racer’s affection and respect for his parents are evident through his social media handles, where he frequently shares heartfelt posts about his father, accompanied by touching captions that reflect the deep bond they share.

Justin Allgaier Dad: Health Issue

After an illustrious 30-year racing career, marked by countless victories and shared moments with his father, Justin faced a profound void within himself, even in the midst of celebrating a triumphant win at Darlington.

The turning point came when Mike, the pillar of support throughout Justin’s journey, was suddenly hospitalized.

His admission was prompted by alarming symptoms – a struggle to remember and walk. The diagnosis that followed was daunting, indicating the necessity of surgery to address the underlying issue.

The surgery turned out to be a resounding success. Not only did Mike emerge from it in better health, but he was also free from the debilitating headaches that had plagued him for years.

This transformation was nothing short of miraculous, and it breathed new life into their relationship.

Despite the ordeal he had just endured, Mike’s commitment to his son’s racing career remained unwavering.

Remarkably, he was back at the racetrack, standing by Justin’s side shortly after the surgery.
