Lloyd Cushenberry | Early Life 

On November 22, 1997, Cushenberry was born under Sagittarius’ sun sign to his parents Debbie Cushenberry and Lloyd Cushenberry II.

He was born in Carville, Louisiana, and had two siblings; a sister Ayanna Cushenberry, and a brother, Terrance Cushenberry.

Cushenberry attended the Dutchtown High School, where he was named the three-star prospect by 247Sports, Scout, and ESPN. By the end of his tenure as a high schooler, Cushenberry had become the No. 3 offensive guard in Louisiana. 

Furthermore, he was also named to the All-USA Louisiana Second Team Offense while earning second-team district 5-5A honors. Altogether, as an athlete, he led his team to 8-4 overall under coach Benny Saia.

College Career 

As a matter of fact, Cushenberry was first announced to commit at South Carolina; however, he later enrolled in LSU. Cushenberry first started in LSU as a redshirt and was even selected to the First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll.

Besides, he played a total of eleven games as a redshirt which was five on special teams and six matches on the offensive line. All in all, he posted career-high 59 snaps against the Aggies.

Advancing as a redshirt sophomore, Cushenberry starred as the Tigers’ starting center, with 13 games. Following it, Cushenberry was a redshirt junior, starting fifteen games in total. 

During the tenure, Cushenberry played alongside right guard Damien Lewis for 28 consecutive games. Additionally, he was also the first offensive lineman in school history to be awarded the No. 18 jersey. 

As a tradition, the #18 jersey is only given to those players who can represent their best in terms of what it means to be an LSU player, both on and off the field.

Altogether, he ended his college career after starting 28-of-39 games played at the center during his four seasons (2016-19) at Louisiana State University.
