After high school, he played collegiate football at Boston College and graduated with a degree in marketing.

Matt was drafted in the sixth round of the 1998 NFL Draft by the Green Bay Packers.

Besides, the former football player played for the Seattle Seahawks, Tennessee Titans, and Indianapolis Colts.

He announced his retirement on March 9, 2016, and joined his brother Tim as an analyst for ESPN.

Matt grew up with two brothers, Tim, and Nathanael Hasselbeck.

Timothy Thomas Hasselbeck is an American sports journalist and former American football quarterback. Currently, he works as an analyst for ESPN.

Tim married television personality and his longtime lover, Elisabeth Filarski. They have three children, one daughter, Grace Elisabeth, and two sons, Taylor Thomas and Isaiah Timothy.

While the youngest Hasselbeck, Nathanael, played collegiate football and pursued a different career path as a real estate broker. He now works as a residential specialist at Real Residential.

Nathanael is married to Kelley Hasselbeck and shares two kids with her, Jack and Charlie.

Kelley graduated with a degree in Bachelor of Liberal Arts from the University of Washington.

She works as a senior executive assistant to the chief executive officer at Starbucks and simultaneously helps her husband at Real Residential.

The Trio In Football

The eldest, Matt, played eight seasons in the NFL with several teams like New York Giants, Washington Redskins, Philadelphia Eagles, and Arizona Cardinals.

Tim, born on April 6, 1978, is almost three years younger than Matt. Tim played football at the Boston College Eagles football team, taking over his elder brother’s position as their starting quarterback.

He started his NFL journey with the Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2001.

The former football player played in Europe with the Berlin Thunder of NFL Europe. Tim is the 200 Scanian Award Winner and the X World Bowl champion.

Similarly, Nathanael, born on December 9, 1981, attended Xaverian Brothers High School like his elder brother. He played football as a defensive back and punt returner at Boston College.

And, in his redshirted year at Boston, he played football at Bridgton Academy.

After three seasons at Boston College, he transferred to the University of Massachusetts Boston.

Among the three Hasselbeck brothers, Nathanael was the only one who did not make it to the NFL. However, they all played football and had a passion for the sport.
