Jaylen Waddle, the 26-year-old standout wide receiver for the Miami Dolphins, is the youngest of the four siblings.
The WR grew up in a household of four siblings, including two older sisters, Amber Allen and Aspen Redmon.
They have been a constant source of support, along with his mother, Lesha Redmon, and have attended several matches together from College Football to the NFL.
When Lesha congratulated Jaylen after the 2021 NFL draft, Jaylen shared an emotional statement expressing how much their mom had contributed to the family and their siblings.
I appreciate you. A lot of people don’t give enough credit for the amount of sacrifices that you made, not only for me, for my family, for my sisters.
He was selected as sixth overall by the Miami Dolphins and has even set a rookie record for receptions in a season with 104.
Rise From College Football To NFL
The central part of where he is now is undoubtedly his outstanding college career with the Alabama Crimson Tide.
He was named SEC Freshman of the Year in 2018, and in his sophomore year, the WR led the NCAA with 487 punt return yards, earning him the SEC Special Teams Player of the Year award.
Unfotunately, he didn’t excel in his junior year at the University of Alabama due to injury, but still played in the National Championship game. In 2021, he declared for the NFL Draft and skipped his senior year.
His current Miami Contract runs till the 2027 NFL Season after he signed a new three-year contract extension, worth $84.75 million in 2024, making him one of the highest-paid WRs in NFL History.
And it’s safe to say he has been the top WR and one of the best players for the Dolphins over the past few years.
In his second year with the team, he posted 1,356 receiving yards and 8 touchdowns, and had a great partnership with Tyreek Hill.
Waddle also surpassed 1000 receiving yards in the 2023 season, while playing 14 games. Last season, he led the team with 744 receiving yards and appeared in all 17 matches.
