This article was last updated by on

Indian premier league is the most celebrated cricketing event, with Virat Kohli at the top of the list as the highest scorer of the IPL.

Every year, players from different nations gather together to play the IPL. In IPL, ten teams compete to win the title. The batsmen want to score the most runs in a season, and the bowlers want the most wickets.

An in-form batsman is a boon for any team. If a team’s batsmen score the most runs within a season, it’s easy to chase or set up a target.

The list includes both foreign as well as Indian players. The stats of the player is taken from websites like ESPNcricinfo, cricbuzz.

So, he filled in the shoes of Warner in his absence. Sadly, Hyderabad lost in the finals.

In the IPL 2022, Williamson also played poorly, as he only scored 216 runs in 13 innings because of a painful condition in his elbow.

His strike rate of 93.50 was the lowest of all batters who faced at least 100 balls this season.

Despite his stellar performance, the team lost in the finals to Hyderabad. It was also a rare year when two players outperformed others by a mile.

The other player was David Warner. Even though Kohli won the orange cap, Warner won the IPL trophy.
