New York Mets Francisco Lindor’s wife, Katia Reguero Lindor, is a Puerto Rican violinist. She was born and raised in Puerto Rico and was homeschooled in her early years of childhood.
The All-Star shortstop and his beautiful spouse stole the spotlight before the beginning of the New York Mets vs. San Diego Padres game on Tuesday, September 16, 2025.
Katia, who is a classically trained violinist, played the national anthem on her violin as part of the Mets’ celebration of Hispanic Heritage Night.

Francisco, who was holding their son, Koa, and standing with their daughters, Kalina and Amapola, near the backstop, was beaming with pride.
As soon as Francisco’s better half finished playing the national anthem, their daughter jumped onto the field and ran up to hug Katia’s leg. On the other hand, Lindor hugged and kissed her.
Moreover, the baseball shortstop had his own proud pregame moments. The MLB recognized Lindor as the Mets’ nominee for the 2025 Roberto Clemente Award.
This award is presented to players who demonstrate strong character and make a positive impact in the community, in addition to their outstanding performance on the baseball field. This time, it was Katia and their three kids’ turn to celebrate.
In addition, the couple’s oldest daughter, Kalina, announced “Play ball” before the game started, while their younger daughter, Amapola, stood beside her clapping.
The Lindor family’s presence seemed to bring good luck, as the Mets quickly took a 5-0 lead in the first inning, with Lindor starting it off with a single.
In the second inning, the former Cleveland indians player hit his 27th home run of the season to push the Mets’ lead to 6-1.
Katia Reguero Wanted To Become An Instrumentalist, But Fate Had Other Plans
As mentioned earlier, Katia Reguero was born in Puerto Rico. She was homeschooled in the early years of her childhood.
As for higher education, she attended St. Mary’s University in Texas, where she studied International Relations. Later, she switched her path to music.
The MLB star’s better half initially dreamed of becoming an instrumentalist. However, life took her on a different path, and she is now a podcast host.
Reguero started a podcast called “The Un-a-Parent” in August 2022, which focuses on the less-discussed realities of parenting.
The show features guests such as her husband, former Miss Universe Puerto Rico Mariana Vicente, and mental health experts, with interviews in both English and Spanish.
In her first episode, Lindor’s lady love explained that she created the podcast partly for herself and partly for others, as a creative and meaningful outlet.
"I needed a creative, intellectual, stimulating outlet, and it stemmed from a desire to start conversations that I felt I might have needed back when I was pregnant and becoming a parent, and the first few months that were just so overwhelming."

The mother of three said it came from wanting the kinds of conversations she wished she had when she was pregnant and adjusting to parenthood, which she found overwhelming.
She also noted that she felt there weren’t enough honest discussions about what parenting is really like.
The Lindor Couple has been Married Since December 2021 And Shares Three Kids.
The smitten pair first crossed paths when Francisco saw a picture of Katia and sent her a message on Instagram.
In an interview with the New York Post in April 2022, Lindor said he found her beautiful and decided to DM her.
The duo got connected and talked for three months before meeting in person in Arizona. It was during Lindor’s spring training. And the first meeting was enough for the baseball player to realize that Katia was the one.
"We just hung out and I was like, 'I think she's the one.' At first, I was a little bit like, 'Ahh, I don't want to really commit,' but I knew that she was the one."

The Lindor pair’s second daughter, Amapola Chloe, was born on June 17, 2023. A few days after welcoming her, the violinist shared a video and pictures of two baby girls on Instagram.
In December 2024, Reguero announced that they were expecting their third child. Their son, Koa Amani, was born in March 2025.
