During the start of his college career, Fisher was redshirted in the 2016 season. Nonetheless, he earned the Freshman All-America Honors in the 2017 season from FWAA. 

Additionally, “The Big Ten Network” named Fisher was named the Big Ten Freshman Defensive Player of the year. He received the respective award after recording four forced tumbles, 113 tackles, nine tackles for loss, and one interception.

Besides, the offer from Northwestern came in April, and the Wisconsin offer came a month later. Fisher and Whillock wanted to continue playing for their college.

However, it became more likely after they visited Evanston. The duo was impressed by Northwestern’s players, which reminded them of Katy.

It was a reunion or shorts as the duo spent thirteen consecutive seasons together on the football pitch.

Paddy Fisher ‘The Face of Northwestern’s Defense’

Before their journey as a footballer, Fisher and Whillock watched Katy Tigers play with their family in the state championship game. 

The boys sit side-by-side with one another, gazing at the spectacular beauty of the game in the hope of dominating it one day. 

In December 2015, the duo walked onto s sea of red as Katy supporters cheered them to another state title. 

The team was confident as Fisher and Whillock led the defense. The two only allowed seven points out of 27 points romp over Lake Travis. 

The two boys have finally achieved what they used to dream of as a kid- they were finally state champions. 

Additionally, Katy has a perfect 16-0 season as the team shut its opponent ten times. Further, USA Today named them the No.1 team in the country.
