Latwon Oscar Uribe was a 16-year-old from Mission, Texas, who tragically lost his life in a car accident on Saturday night, September 6, 2025.

The crash happened around 10:28 p.m. at the intersection of La Homa Road and 66th Street.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a 2020 Toyota Tacoma was driving west on 66th Street and failed to stop at a stop sign.

As a result, it crashed into Latwon’s 2006 GMC Envoy, which was heading north on La Homa Road.

The impact caused Latwon’s vehicle to spin, hit a fence and a utility pole, then flip over and land upside down in the southbound lane.

Sadly, Latwon died at the scene from his injuries.

The driver of the Tacoma was taken to DHR Health in Edinburg for a medical evaluation, and the crash remains under investigation.
