Patterson grew attended Huntington for his overall school days. He played for the boy’s team-leading to three-straight state championships.

Well, during his final years in high school, Patterson won his third state championship in the senior season with the team.

Kentucky University

After all of his high school accomplishments, Patrick joined the University of Kentucky.

A firey season opened up for the men’s team after Patrick joined. First, they enjoyed their victory over Ole Miss Rebels when Patrick already had 16.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, 1.2 blocks for the season.

But a fractured left ankle delayed his participation in the 2008 NBA draft postponing his entrance to the next year.

After trying out for the 2009 NBA draft, Patterson realized not to forgo his degree and returned to join Jodie Meeks, his other half of the most productive duo in Kentucky.

In the junior season, he worked on his outside shot and had just ended the previous high with a career-high 33 points against Tennessee State Tiger.

With a Sec Tournament winning in one hand and a degree in the other hand, Patrick achieved a #1 seed in the NCAA tournament while entering the 2010 NBA draft.

Professional Career

Not ranking anywhere below an 8 in the 2010 NBA draft, Patrick scored 96 as overall points and was selected by the Houston Rockets with a fourteenth overall pick.

Before his debut with the team, Patrick shined in the 9th game with Rio Grande Valley Vipers of the NBA G League.

With 35 minutes into the game, he averaged 18.3 points with 10.3 rebounds.

On March 14, 2011, with 2 points and five rebounds in his debut, Patterson eventually started to outshine Luis Scola and finally took over for the 2012-13 season with a wave.

A short time with Sacramento Kings, Toronto Raptors resigned him in a three-year with an $18 million contract.

After a while, Patterson underwent an arthroscopic procedure in his left knee when he played for Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2017-18 season.

On the other hand, after his contract ended, Patterson became an unrestricted free agent until LA Clippers signed him for two-season from 2019-to 21.
