Aaron Benson Was a Former Cedar Hill Linebacker!

Born in Dallas, Texas, Aaron Benson was known for his athleticism and commitment, also competing in track and field and powerlifting.

He came from a football family, with his cousin Cedric Benson having played running back at Texas and in the NFL.

Also, he was coached by Joey McGuire at Cedar Hill High School.

During his career, Benson played in 14 games across four seasons before stepping away from football in 2014.

He redshirted his freshman year in 2010, gained experience on the scout team, and went on to contribute as a reserve linebacker and special teams player.

His highlights include playing in the 2010 Under Armour All-America Game and being ranked among ESPNU’s Top 150 national prospects.

Additionally, he also earned recognition on the Big 12 Commissioner’s Honor Roll in 2011.

In Texas, he recorded three career tackles, with his last coming against New Mexico State in 2013.

Furthermore, in high school at Cedar Hill, he was a standout prep-All American, posting nearly 300 tackles, 12 sacks, and multiple forced turnovers over three seasons, helping his team to a state championship and several deep playoff runs.
