Which players will make it to the top MLB rookies of 2024? Every year a new MLB rookie stands on the throne. So, who’s next?

According to mlb.com, Trevor Rogers from Marlin hit the Number 1 spot on the 2nd of June and maintained it for six weeks. However, now a player of the Cincinnati Reds has taken over the title. Read the article to find out who.

Trevor J’Daniel Rogers is a professional baseball pitcher who plays for the Miami Marlins. He was drafted in 2017 by the Marlins and made his debut on the 25th of August 2020. 

Throughout his career, Rogers has a record of 8-10 win-loss and 196 strikeouts. He was also awarded the NL Rookie of the Month award in April and May of 2021. 

However, as of the 20th of July, 2021, Trevor has only made one MLB start due to his health issues. He recently scored 3 1/3 innings with 55 pitches. In 110 innings, he has a record of 2.45 ERA with 129 stakeouts and 3.3 fWAR.

4. Randy Arozarena

Randy Arozarena Gonzalez is a Cuban player who plays for the Tampa Bay Rays. He is currently the outfielder for the Rays but also played for the St. Louis Cardinals. First, Randy made his MLB debut with the Cardinals in 2019. 

Arozarena received the ALCS MVP of 2020 and AL Rookie of the Year award. In 2021, with a total of 111 games, Randy batted .275/.354/.455 along with 16 home runs and 11 steals.

5. Adolis Garcia

Jose Adolis Garcia Arrieta is also a Cuban baseball player who plays for the Texas Rangers as an outfielder. He made his MLB debut on the 8th of August 2018. 

Before the Rangers, he played for the Yomiuri Giants and also for the national team of Cuban. In 2018, he also played for the St Louis Cardinals.

Whereas with 18 saves and seventh place in the AL relievers, he is leading among the rookies. Clase has an ERA of 1.55, a WHIP of 1.07, and a total of 57 strikeouts this season.

9. Patrick Wisdom

Patrick has played for St. Louis Cardinals, Texas Rangers, and is currently with the Chicago Cubs.

10. Tyler Stephenson

The American professional baseball player Tyler Stephenson is a catcher for the Cincinnati Reds. He made his debut in 2020 but was drafted by the Reds in 2015.

The only thing holding Tyler from getting into top rookie ranks is his playing time. He is still splitting time with Tucker. 

Tyler holds a .289/.374/.452 with nine home runs and has been working to receive more playtime. He has a record of 1.026 OPS which is the highest of 2021 as of now.

11. Ian Anderson

Ian Theodore Anderson is a professional baseball pitcher who plays for the Atlanta Braves. He was selected by the Braves in the 2016 MLB Draft and later made his debut in 2020. 

In 2020, he got his first win against the Reds and earned the title of the youngest MLB pitcher with less than three hits with six innings pitches.

Another player from the Detroit Tigers on our list of the top MLB rookies of 2024 is Akil Baddoo. Baddoo is a professional outfielder for the Tigers who made his debut in 2021. 

Moreover, Akil was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 2014 Draft and then afterward was selected by the Tigers in the 2020 Rule 5 Draft. 

Baddoo made his entrance in the MLB with a .325 hitting and 5 homers. Then, he completed the 2021 season with a .259 hitting, 13 homers, 18 stolen bases, and 55 runs batted in.

However, he could have had more outstanding records if not for the 7-day concussion protocol.
