Jey Uso, an American professional wrestler with WWE, proudly embraces his Samoan heritage inherited from his parents.
The WWE star Jey Uso was born Joshua Samuel Fatu on August 22, 1985, in San Francisco, California, to Samoan parents Solofa Fatu Jr., aka Rikishi Fatu, and Talisua Fuavai.
Belonging to the Samoan community, Jey and his parents proudly honor their heritage as a member of the Anoa’i family, a family of professional wrestlers originating from the Samoan Island.
Talking about his parents, Jey has followed in his father, Solofa Fatu Jr., aka Rikishi Fatu, footsteps in wrestling.
Solofa Fatu Jr. is a former professional wrestler who competed in several renowned wrestling organizations, including WWE, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, World Championship, and many more.
Moreover, Fatu made his debut in the professional wrestling business in 1985 as Prince Alofa and later competed with the Samoan SWAT Team in Japan and multiple wrestling promotions.
Similarly, Solofa Jr. won several honorable titles throughout his career, including the WWF Intercontinental Championship, the Slammy Award, the WWE Hall of Fame, and the WWE Tag Team Championship.
He was born in San Franciso on October 11, 1965, to his father, Solofa Fatu Sr., and his mother, Elevera Anoa’i Fatu.
Likewise, Jey Uso’s parents married in 1985, months before giving birth to Jey and his twin brother Jimmy.
Very little information about his mother, Talisua Fuavai-Fat, is available, as she prefers to maintain a private life.
However, she often shares her sons’ and husband’s achievements on social media, expressing her love for them.
