Zhang Xin (Western name: Asta Zhang Xin) was born on 1 December 1998 in Xiangtan, China, under the star sign of Sagittarius.
According to the sources, Zhang Xin only commenced skateboarding after her tenure at college.

Professional Career
Zhang Xin was initially into cheerleading, which she did most of her college days, as per sources. Before finding the recruitment notice on skateboarding, she was a cheerleader at the Nanjing Sports Institute.
However, as skateboarding emerged in 2017 and 2018, she commenced practicing from zero foundation.
Initially, Zhang Xin stood as a pull-la-training college student in the National Sports and Performance Department of Nanjing Institute of Physical Education.
Xin only practiced this sport for eight months before appearing in the international arena.
Indeed, as a nobody with no idea about skateboarding, the first months were brutal on her schedule. She suffered repeated injuries and had her confidence diminished.

At first, she played in the 2018 Jakarta Asian Games Skateboarding Competition. During her very first match, Xin was able to secure third place in the women’s bowl.
Following it, she played several matches and even partook in the Skateboarding Championships.
With her performance at the World Skateboarding Championship, Zhang Xin stood 19th in 2018 and 25th in 2019.
Moving on to the year 2020, she partook in the closed training for the Tokyo Olympics. Later, she stood throughout the qualifying round for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
