Angus Brayshaw is a professional Australian rules footballer. As of today, he is playing for the Melbourne Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL).

Standing at 6 ft. 2, Brayshaw is known for his versatility. The player can play as both an inside and outside midfielder.

Born on 9 January 1996, Brayshaw played his junior football with the Hampton Rovers Football Club as he attended Haileybury College.

In 2013, he began playing top-level football as a bottom-aged player in the TAC Cup for the Sandringham Dragons. 

Similarly, Brayshaw was recruited by the Melbourne Demons with their second selection and third overall in the 2014 national draft.

AFL Career

Mark Brayshaw’s AFL career commenced in 1984 when he was drafted by the Claremont Football Club.

His debut was a significant moment in his life, marking the realization of a lifelong dream passed down from his father.

During his time with Claremont Tigers, Mark Brayshaw played 110 games for the club and kicked 70 goals. 

However, Mark went on to play for the North Melbourne Football Club from 1990 to 1992. He was selected by the club as a first-round selection in the 1989 VFL Draft.

Eventually, he was delisted by North Melbourne at the end of 1992 after having played 32 games and kicking two goals along the way.

Lastly, Mark returned to Claremont in 1994, playing 20 WAFL matches before retiring from footy for good.

In addition, Mark is the former CEO of the AFL Coaches Association, a representative body for AFL coaches.
