Collin Darnell Sexton was born on January 4, 1999. His parents, Darnell Sexton and Gia Sexton raised him and his siblings in Marietta, Georgia.

His father is a pharmaceutical salesman and a former coach, while his mother Gia is a nurse. In addition, he has two siblings, one older brother, Jordan Sexton, and one older sister, Giauna Sexton.

Furthermore, Collin started playing basketball when he was just three years old. He used to play with his brother, Jordan, in their garage until late at night.

At that time, Jordan often won, and Collin refused to end the game in a loss.

Sexton chose the University of Alabama and played for coach Avery who had played in the NBA.

In a game against the University of Minnesota, he recorded 40 points while playing shorthanded during most of the second half on November 25, 2017

Similarly, in the SEC Men’s Basketball Tournament opening game, Collin Sexton recorded 27 points against Texas A&M University, including the game-winning buzzer beater.
