Coos Bay Coast League is mourning the tragic death of 12U softball player Hadley Campbell.

According to the source, Hadley Campbell was a 7th-grade student at Marshfield Junior High School.

Softball Player Hadley Campbell Passed Away, Leaving Everyone Devastated

Softball player Hadley Campbell tragically lost her life at a young age following an automobile accident. The exact date of her demise has not been revealed yet.

On Monday, September 1, 2025, the Coos Bay Public School released a statement to announce the tragic death of Hadley. They wrote,

It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of Hadley Campbell, a 7th grade student at Marshfield Junior High School, following an automobile accident. Loss is difficult for all of us, and it can be especially confusing and overwhelming for children and youth. To support our school community, Crisis Team Members from Millicoma School and Marshfield Junior High have met to put support plans in place. A Safe Room will be available at school for any student or staff member who may need additional care and guidance. As parents and guardians, you play a vital role in helping your children navigate this difficult time. The death of a peer may also bring up memories of other losses they have experienced, such as the death of a loved one, a move, or a family separation.

The Coos Bay Coast League also took to their official Facebook handle and mourned the loss of Hadley. They wrote,

With heavy hearts, we mourn the loss of a CBCL 12U softball player, Hadley Campbell. Hadley was an extraordinary teammate and person whose kind spirit left an indelible mark on CBCL. On the field, Hadley gave 100% every single time, playing with a passion that inspired everyone around her. But it was her heart off the field that truly defined her. Her infectious smile, boundless kindness, and support for her teammates made her a joy to be around. Hadley had a gift for lifting others up, bringing warmth and positivity to every moment. As we grieve, we also celebrate the incredible person Hadley was – a true embodiment of teamwork, love, and spirit. Her legacy will live on at CBCL, inspiring players to play with the same heart she showed us every day. Our deepest thoughts are with Hadley’s family, friends, and teammates during this difficult time. Rest in peace, Hadley. You’ll forever be in our hearts. 💜🥎

Please keep this sweet family in your prayers. Hadley was every coach’s dream player – she showed up with a smile, lifted her teammates with her positive energy, and always gave her best. She was a true inspiration. I gave her the Coach’s Rock Award because that’s exactly what she was – steady, dependable, and the one we could always count on. 💕 You will forever be in our hearts, # 7.
