Darius Demetrius Slay is an American football cornerback who plays for the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL. Born and bred in Brunswick, Georgia, Slay went to Brunswick High School, playing as a running and defensive back.

He played amateur basketball and was a standout track and field athlete during his time at Brunswick. Although many colleges showed interest in him, he opted to play for Mississippi State after transferring from Itawamba Community College.

Later, the Detroit Lions selected Slay in the second round of the 2013 NFL Draft. During his spell at the Lions, he was named the First-team All-Pro in 2017.

After seven years of service with the Detroit Lions, Slay was transferred to the Philadelphia Eagles in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Today, Slay is a five-time Pro Bowl winner, establishing a legacy through his hard work and dedication.

Stephanie’s teenage years differed from other kids of her age. She was only 13 when she gave birth to her only child, Darius Slay Jr., in 1991.

She had many things on her plate at such a young age. Despite this, Stephanie raised her son, playing a pivotal role in fostering him to become an athlete on the footballing world’s highest stage, the NFL.

Stephanie has been a constant source of support to her son Darius, both on and off the pitch.

Apart from this, there is not much information about Slay’s parents. The player prefers not to speak publicly regarding his parents, and his parents also stay away from the media’s spotlight.

Like Mother Like Son

The 5x Pro Bowl winner is married to his wife, Jennifer Williams. Jennifer, who was raised in Oklahoma, is an Instagram model by profession.

Likewise, history has repeated itself in the Slay family. Back when Darius was a freshman at Brunswick High, he found out that his girlfriend was pregnant.

He was 15 at that time and was in complete shock and nervous. He realized that, like his mother, he had a whole other person to take care of.

Eventually, he was about to repeat the cycle that his mother had endured when she was 13. Back then, Slay thought of dropping out of school and finding a job to take care of his son.

Surprisingly, Stephanie became a caretaker for two children at the same time- her son and her grandson. Because of her assistance, everything went the right way.

Darius’s eldest kid is now 16 years old. As of 2023, Darius and his wife are parents to 4 children.
