In the 2013 January transfer window, the Uruguayan was Italy bound. However, the Inter head coach didn’t include Diego in the preseason squad.
So when at the start of a new season, Laxalt got loaned out to Bologna to collect game time and experience the atmosphere in Italy, in general.
