Dwight Powell is a Canadian professional basketball player in the NBA. He has played as a power forward or center for many prominent NBA teams.

He agreed to a three-year commitment to play with the Canadian senior men’s national team on May 24, 2022.

Although the Charlotte Hornets picked him, he started his career with the Boston Celtics.

Currently, he plays for the 2011 NBA champion team Dallas Mavericks. Besides that, he has also played in the NBA G League.

Dwight played for Maine Red Claws from Portland, Maine. After that, he served the Texas-based minor league team Texas Legends. 

Moreover, he played collegiate basketball at Stanford University. With his exceptional skills, he received well-deserved attention from recruiters.

Powell is from Canada and represented his country in the 2015 FIBA AmeriCup. He won a bronze medal in the Cup held in Mexico City, Mexico.

Aside from that, the player missed the entirety of the 2020 NBA season due to an injury.

While attempting to hit the basket, he injured his Achilles Tendon and fell with a sharp pain in his leg.
