Melique Joseph, a Palm Coast, Florida native and exceptional multi-sports athlete, passed away this week at an untimely age of 19, leaving his family and loved ones heartbroken.
While the details surrounding the untimely death of Melique Jospeh are not yet available, many of his loved ones are paying tribute to him on social media and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Melique Joseph was a cherished and beloved member of the Flagler Palm Coast sports community. He won the hearts of many with his amazing athletic skills, excelling in multiple sports, and his kind-hearted nature.
He was a standout defensive lineman for Flagler Palm Coast High School’s varsity football team in Palm Coast, Florida.
Wearing jersey #35, he excelled at defensive tackle (DT) and nose guard (NG), standing 6’3″ and weighing 238 pounds.
A member of the Class of 2025, he played a key role in helping the Bulldogs achieve a strong 9–2 record during the 2024 season, earning recognition as a two-time Player of the Game.
Melique Joseph Was Also a Standout Wrestler
Late Melique “Meli” Joseph also built a strong presence in the state’s wrestling community through his determination, skill, and work ethic.
Melique recorded an impressive 29–12 season, earning 20 pins along with a tech fall and three major decisions.
He shone at the FHSAA 3A Region 1 tournament, where he captured first place, and followed with notable finishes, including second at Districts, second at the Five Star Conference Championship, and first at the War Eagle Classic.
He also earned fifth place at the Flagler Rotary Invitational and competed at several elite events, including the FHSAA State Championships and the Knockout Christmas Classic.
Among his most memorable victories were wins over standout opponents such as Bryant Taylor, Grady Isaacs, Marco Gonzalez, Jean Pierre Villavicencio, and Brett Bearden.
Known for his physical style and reliable ability to secure pins, Melique brought intensity and heart to every match.
Beyond competition, he was respected by teammates and coaches for his discipline, quiet leadership, and commitment to growing in the sport he loved.
Though his journey ended far too soon, Melique’s passion, accomplishments, and character leave a lasting legacy within the Flagler Palm Coast wrestling and football community.
Flagler Palm Coast High School took to its official social media to pay tribute to its beloved student-athlete and wrote:
