Garoppolo (fully named James Richard Garoppolo) was born on November 2, 1991, under Scorpio’s sun sign. Born in Arlington Heights, Illinois, Jimmy had a comfortable childhood. 

Additionally, he is the third child among the four children of Denise Garoppolo and Denise Garoppolo. As per the sources, his father, Tony, is a retired electrician, while his mother, Denise, is a chef.

High School and College 

Jimmy attended the Rolling Meadows High School in Rolling Meadows until 2010. During the tenure, he played as a quarterback and linebacker in their Mustangs football team.

Besides football, Jimmy also shared a similar passion for baseball, where he starred as the pitcher for Rolling Meadows High School. Well, as a footballer, he played a total of 19 games and posted 3,136 yards and 25 touchdowns.

Jimmy Garoppolo | Professional Career

Following college, Jimmy entered the 2014 NFL Draft as one of the top prospects. back then, the New England Patriots drafted him as the 62nd pick overall in the second round.

During the draft, he became the highest-drafted quarterback after Drew Bress in the Patriots team.

Back then, his contract was worth $3,483,898 ($1,103,744 guaranteed) with an $853,744 signing bonus for a total of four years. 

Besides, Jimmy also became the first player to be drafted from the Football Championship Subdivision. 

New England Patriots

Jimmy had his regular-season professional debut in 2014 against the Kansas City Chiefs on Monday Night Football. During his tenure at the Patriots, Jimmy replaced Tom Brady for the games in the 2016 season.
