John Cena Says His Body Can’t Handle Wrestling Anymore: Will He Continue Or Retire?

Recent news has been surfacing all around the internet, whether the 16 times world champion John Cena will retire soon or the fans may still get a chance to watch him wrestle again.

Regarded as one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, John Cena started professional wrestling career in 1999.

And now, 24 years later, Cena believes that his body will not be able to handle wrestling anymore, according to a Twitter post made by Wrestlemania.co.uk.

The wrestler wishes he was still in WWE every day but reveals that his body cannot do it anymore.

Fan’s one of the favorite wrestlers, Cena, also stated that he does not want to give fans a bad performance.

So, this statement has led wrestling fans to believe he might retire sooner than expected.

Many die heart John Cena fans want to see Cena hold the championship for one more time beating the joint record of 16-time champion shared by Ric Flair.

Will Cena Retire From WWE & Focus On Movies?

John Cena might not retire now as he might still feature as a guest appearance in upcoming major WWE events.

However, it looks like John Cena is currently focused on movies and building his legacy in the film industry, similar to the legacy he made in WWE.

As per IMDb, the 16-time world champion has 11 upcoming movies that are in filming, in-production, and post-production state.

He made his acting debut in 2006 in the movie called “The Marine,” produced by WWE Studios.

Since then, he has played in many movies and has won the 2017 Action Star of the Year by CinemaCon.

John has featured in F9: The Fast Saga and portrayed Peacemaker in The Suicide Squad.

The latest movie that John acted in was Fast X, released in 2023.

On the other hand, the last time Cena wrestled in WWE was on April 1, 2023, the opening match of Wrestlemania 39 Night 1. 

After Austin Theory called him multiple times, Cena accepted the challenge but lost the match against the current WWE United States Champion.
