Julia Goerges: Early Life, Family, and Education
Goerges was born in Bad Oldesloe, a town in then-West Germany. Klaus Goerges and Inge Goerges are her parents.
The Goerges couple works for an insurance company. Besides, Maike is her elder maternal half-sister. Notably, Mailke also serves in insurance.
Julie went to the Klaus Groth Schule and Theodor Mommsen Schule. Both were the middle schools in Bad Oldesloe. She completed the Mittlere Reife diploma in 2005.

International Tennis Federation Women’s Circuit
Goerges joined the ITF Women’s Circuit in 2005, which marked the start of her professional career. In the first season, she took part in seven tournaments.

The 2006 season brought her success as she won the Wahlstedt and Bielefeld tournaments. Her first main draw appearances in WTA Tour were in 2007.

Goerges made progress at the 2011 Australian Open as she reached the third round. With Germany, she defeated Masa Zec Peskiric of Slovenia at the Fed Cup.
Notably, she won the first Premier-level tournament of her career, playing at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix.
She had defeated the No. 1 Caroline Wozniacki in the final of the competition. She could not make it past the third round at all of the French Open, Wimbledon, and the US Open.
