The Nets are powering up to keep their top position despite their key players missing number of games.

The team consist of number of all-star players: Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Blake Griffin and more.

But the games these players played together are very less however still the Nets are No. 1 in the Eastern Conference.

This shows that the team is good enough to sore without all their key players playing.

Also if all these key players are able to play together healthy then it might be hard for other teams to win over them.

Today’s game just proves this.

No.2 in Western Conference Phoenix Suns faced Brooklyn Nets, both the teams are strong contenders for the Championship.

But with Kevin and Kyrie playing together along with Blake Griffin the team just couldn’t lose to the Suns.

The Nets took the control over the Suns ultimately winning 128-119 with strong shooting from Kevin and Kyrie.

Phoenix Suns strong start but the Nets strong finish.

1st half looked good for the Suns as they started strong and took the lead scoring 32-27 in the first quarter.

As Brooklyn trailed the Suns by five points into the second quarter.

The Nets were down 56-43 with 3:34 remaining in the second quarter.

Subsequently, Brooklyn closed the half on a 16-5 run trailing by only two, 61-59, at the half.

In fact, Irving and Durant combined for 10 points for 16-5 run with Irving hitting two 3s in the run.

“If we could’ve scored and gotten stops, we could’ve gone into halftime with a double-digit lead,” Suns coach Monty Williams said. “Instead we went in with a two-point lead. I thought that kind of changed the momentum a little bit.”

Then the Nets took control over the Suns in the second half taking the lead by 16 points at one point.

Then Suns trailed the Nets by five points to start the fourth, the Nets made another 16-5 run as a result the Suns fall behind, 113-97, with 6:52 remaining.

“They were huge,” said Suns forward Torrey Craig about the 16-5 Brooklyn runs.

“When we get a lead, we’ve got learn how to play better with the lead and just learn how to keep it and stay composed. Credit to those guys. They made plays.

Craig added,”They made shots the whole game. They were the better team tonight.”

Booker scored a game-high 36 points, 3 rebounds, and a assist.

Meanwhile, Deandre Ayton finished with a double-double of 20 points and 13 rebounds along with 3 assists.

Likewise Torrey Craig scored 20 points and 14 rebounds double-double coming off the bench.

Chris Paul contributed 14 points, 4 rebounds and 8 assists for the Suns.

With the loss, now the Suns lost back to back games for the first time in this season.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving huge scores.

On Sunday, Kevin Durant returned strong after missing the past three games because of a bruised thigh and helped Irving to win over the top team the Suns.

Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving combined for huge 67 points to lead the Nets past the Suns.

Kyrie started for the Nets ultimately finished with a total score of 34 points, 12 assists and 6 rebounds double-double.

While Kevin dropped 33 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, and also 2 steals all coming off the bench.

Their partnership and chemistry shined in tonight’s game as well.

Both are great friends outside the court and inside the court they are great teammates. Supporting each other when one is playing.

And assisting each other when both are playing.

This spirit helped the Nets to win over one of the strong team on the defensive end.

The Nets shot 52.9% from the field for the game against the NBA’s fifth-best defense.

We could’ve been better defensively, but a lot of good stretches,” Nets first-year coach Steve Nash said.

“We created separation with our defense. Offensively, we were able to score. Tonight was good. Lots to build on.

He added,” Lots of positives, but for me, it’s never this is where we are. It’s where we’re going.”

Even though they are without All-Star James Harden, who remains sidelined with a hamstring injury, they are still holding on well.

As now they are in No. 1 in the Eastern Conference.

Kyrie did an amazing job to shoulder the responsibility early on when Harden was out with the injury and Kevin was out too.

Now with the help of Durant now he eased up and both are sharing the burden to bring the Nets up on the league.

The Nets dominate the Suns

The Nets have now sweep the season series over the Suns with this game win.

“They’re fresh on the scene as an elite team so this is pretty new to them,” said Durant, who along with Irving were sidelined for the first meeting.

“So we wanted to gauge and take that physicality that they bring and that toughness and that quickness that they bring.”

Harden scored 38 points in leading Brooklyn to a 128-124 comeback win back in February at Phoenix after trailing by as many as 24.

Now Kevin and Kyrie combined for 67 points to get the season sweep over the Suns.

Besides, Kevin and Kyrie, Blake Griffin contributed 16 points with 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the 128-119 game.

Meanwhile, Jeff Green and Joe Harris finished with 10 points each.

Next the Nets faces Toronto Raptors on Wednesday while the Suns face off LA Clippers on Thursday.
