Afterward, leaving the station in 1984, she worked as a sports anchor for four other New York area radio stations until the year 1987, including WFAN.

Later on in the year 1992, Linda returned to the East Coast as she was appointed by one of the most reputed Sportscenter, i.e., ESPN, to work as a sports anchor.

On July 11, 1992, Cohn anchored her first Sportscenter standing next to Chris Myers. Growing up with time, she became more famed and appeared in a TV commercial named “This is SportsCenter.” 

Despite working hard, Cohn was almost fired by ESPN in 1994 because of her hesitant performance in front of the camera.

However, she was given six months in order to improve her performance, and the network also provided Linda with a video coach so that she could get some help. 

Apart from her career as a sportscaster, Cohn acquired a name for herself as a prognosticator during the 1997 NCAA basketball tournament.

There she predicted that the 15th seeded Copin State would take a victory over South Carolina in the first round of the tournament.
