Wander Franco has surprised the baseball world after news surfaced of his alleged romantic involvement with an underage individual, Loredana Chevalier.
However, the MLB star held an Instagram live stream and denied the claims accusing the public of fabricating stories.
The 22-year-old All-Star shortstop for the Tampa Bay Rays has two kids with his long-time lover and wife of 1 years, Nancy Aybar.
The shortstop signed with the Rays in July 2017, however, he made his MLB debut only in June 2021.
Moreover, Franco’s professional debut in Minor Leagues with Princeton Rays came in 2018. The same year, he claimed the Appalachian League Player of the Year.
However, he got selected for his first All-Star game as a replacement for Aaron Judge on July 4, 2023, his major career highlight.
Furthermore, the Tampa Bay star has also represented the Dominican Republic in the 2023 World Baseball Classic.
Allegation And Details About It
Recently, Loredana Chevalier, age 14, accused the Tampa Bay star of alleged involvement with a minor.
Chevalier, who claims to be 14, has pictures on her Instagram with her child, who appears to be around 18 to 24 months.
As per rumors, she claimed hush money, and when Franco could not pay, she disclosed the relationship.
However, the MLB player refuted the accusations and asked the public to stop fabricating stories via his Instagram live stream.
“They’re saying I got with a young girl that I’m running around with a minor out there. How crazy is that, dude? People don’t know what to do with their time. Go see,” Franco spoke about the allegations in Spanish.
“Those people need to get moving. One is here focused, doing my thing, you see, thanks to God. That’s why I prefer to be on my side and not get involved with anybody because people are so gossipy,” he added.
Moreover, the authorities in the Dominican Republic are investigating the All-Star shortstop’s alleged contact case with a minor.
Loredana Chevalier Age And Instagram
Loredana Chevalier is from the Dominican Republic and claims to be 14 years of age.
However, netizens are still confused about the timeline and consider the subject matter ‘fake.’
Recently, a Twitter user discovered a photo of Chevalier driving and holding a bottle of liquor on her Instagram account. These two activities, however, are inappropriate for 14-year-olds.
In fact, Chevalier must be older than 18 to be able to drive and own a car in the Dominican Republic, indicating that either she is older or she gained these things illegally.
Despite the fact that Chevalier has deleted certain images from Instagram, the images remain referenced in the tweets.
However, at present, there are only three images, and none of them feature her infant or the driving/vodka picture.
Meanwhile, the Rays placed Franco on the restricted list, which will sideline him for at least six games while MLB investigates his ongoing allegation case.
