Basketball player Brady Curtwright of Manila, Arkansas, passed away in a tragic accident.

He was a promising young athlete who played for the Freshmen Men’s Basketball team at Manila High School in Manila, Arkansas.

As a member of the Class of 2029, Brady was on the journey to establish himself as a dedicated and hardworking player on and off the court.

Wearing jersey number 32, he showed a strong commitment to developing his basketball skills and contributing to his team’s success.

His journey in basketball was marked by his enthusiasm for the game and his willingness to learn.

Joining the team for the 2024-2025 season, he embraced the challenges of competitive play and demonstrated a team-first mentality.

Basketball Player Brady Curtwright Died In A Tragic Accident

As per the various sources, Manila High School basketball player Brady Curtwright was caught in an accident on Friday, December 5, 2025, in Craighead County.

However, he couldn’t survive the injuries and took his last breath on Sunday, December 7, 2025.

As per the crash report, the accident involved three vehicles near Lake City, Arkansas.

Brad King of Manila crossed the center turn lane and struck a second vehicle, which contained Brady Curtwright, driver Kennedy Riggs, Maddox, Braxton, Jax, and Mason.

The vehicle of Brady was then rear-ended by a third vehicle. The Arkansas State Police released a statement regarding the accident:

“The ASP family is praying for the Manila community after a fatal crash in rural Craighead County Friday evening. Special prayers are lifted for the families of six seriously injured, including five minors and an 18-year-old.”

The Blythville Police Department also released a statement regarding the accident:

“In moments such as these, words fall short, but love and compassion speak loudly. To everyone hurting, grieving, or searching for understanding- know you are not alone. May we hold one another a little closer, offer comfort without hesitation and lean on the strength found in community. The Blytheville Police Department offers our thoughts and prayers to every person affected by the tragic accident that occurred on December 5th. May peace touch our hearts, even if only in small ways.”

Samantha French, a registered nurse at NEA Baptist Intensive Care Unit, took to her official Facebook handle and mourned the loss of Brady. She wrote,

Please pray for this family. When I tell you this family is the absolute sweetest people you will ever met I mean it. We have been living beside each other since our kids were little and they are the best neighbors. My heart just breaks for Ashley and Brian. No one should have to go through this. Continue to pray for all of the kids, their parents, their friends and teammates. This is just heartbreaking.

Brady Curtwright Is Survived By His Parents, Brian And Ashley Curtwright

Basketball player Brady Curtwright was born to his father, Brian, and his mother, Ashley Curtwright, in Manila, Arkansas, United States.

Brady’s parents tied the knot in 2014.

His father, Brian, has been serving at Nucor Steel Arkansas since October 15, 2023, as per his Facebook handle.

On the other hand, his mother, Ashley, has been serving at Wells Family Eyecare since June 10, 2019.

Ashley recently took to her official Facebook handle and mourned the loss of his son, Brady. She wrote,

I have no words. None. I am irreparably broken. Thank you for the love that each one of you feel for my sweet baby boy! I can feel them. Brady entered the Med roughly 19 hours ago. From the beginning, there has been no brain function. Tomorrow morning, we do my baby’s last test. Tennessee follows the Uniform Determination of Death Act (UDDA):
A person is legally dead when they have irreversible cessation of all functions of the entire brain, including the brainstem. Please, please, there is only one option and that’s a miracle. Please pray and Gods will, is Gods will ❤️
