High school

Like his daddy Troy, Lindsay engaged in running back in high school.

Phillip was chosen to dress the same jersey digit at South High School as his dad, 22.

While playing for the Rebels, he raced the Denver Public School District record for rushing yards (4,400), which his dad established in 1979.

After a fruitful first three years of high school, Lindsay dedicated himself to playing for the University of Colorado Boulder.

Soon after outstanding his dad’s rushing record in his senior season, Lindsay underwent a severe ACL tear that brought an expiration to his high school career.

Despite this wound, Mike MacIntyre, Colorado’s trainer, maintained the school’s grant for the 2013 season.

Separately from football, Lindsay also cultivated basketball skills as a freshman and learned all four years in track and field.

He ran sprints and relays and had individual bests of 10.9 seconds in the 100-meter rush, 22.2 in the 200, and 49.0 in the 400.

College Career

Son of Troy fused with the Colorado squad throughout the fall of 2013.

2014 season

2015 season

Professional Career

2018 Season

Lindsay contracted with the Denver Broncos as an undrafted unrestricted agent on May 1, 2018.

He completed the Broncos’ final schedule after an impressive preseason.

Phillip was also called the No. 3 running back on the complexity chart last third-round rookie Royce Freeman and expert Devontae Booker.

In Week 1, besides the Seattle Seahawks, he ran for 71 yards on 15 carries and noted two receptions for 31 yards and a getting touchdown.

In a 20–19 win over the Oakland Raiders the following week, Lindsay competed for 107 yards and had one greeting for four yards.

He converted to the foremost undrafted performer in NFL history with 100+ struggle yards in each of their first two games.

Throughout Week 3, alongside the Baltimore Ravens, Lindsay was evicted for tossing punches after a mistake.

He was detained to 20 rushing yards as the Broncos lost 14–27.

Monday night football

In Weeks 4,11, 12, and thirteen on Monday Night Football alongside the Kansas City Chiefs, Lindsay ran for 69 yards and another rushing touchdown.

Lindsay logged his first multi-rushing touchdown game in a 23–22 conquest over the Los Angeles Chargers.

Then, he conquered the Pittsburgh Steelers and had a season-high 110 rushing yards and a rushing touchdown.

Finally, in a Week 13 game alongside the Cincinnati Bengals, he rushed for a career-high 157 yards and two touchdowns, making him the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award.

On December 18, 2018, Phillip was chosen for his foremost Pro Bowl. It made him the first undrafted offensive rookie in the NFL account to be voted to a Pro Bowl.

In one of the interviews, Phillip said he wants to hold his combine for the folks who decide who gets an invite to the NFL Combine.

“I’m going to get them some cute little shorts and some weights; hopefully, they get in shape. I’m going to give them a couple of months and then send invites out.”

On December 24, 2018, Lindsay wounded his wrist on Monday Night Football against the Oakland Raiders. He was positioned on wounded fallback ahead of the Broncos’ last season’s game.

Phillip ended his foremost season with 1,278 total yards (1,037 rushing yards, 241 receiving yards) from the struggle.

Lindsay completed his reappearance from injury against the Oakland Raiders on Monday Night Football. He ran 11 times for 43 yards in the game and fixed four passes for 23 yards in the 24-16 loss.

Phillip played in contradiction to the Green Bay Packers. He rushed 21 times for 81 yards and two touchdowns and fixed four passes for 49 yards as the Broncos lost 27-16.

While playing alongside the Los Angeles Chargers, Lindsay ran 15 times for 114 yards and one touchdown and caught four passes for 33 yards.

Broncos won their only game of the season by 20-13.

In contrast to the Detroit Lions, Lindsay rushed 19 times for 109 yards and a touchdown during the 27–17 win.

Lindsay became the foremost undrafted player in association history to do so in his first two seasons.

In 2020, beside the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football, Lindsay ran for 24 yards before exiting the game with a toe injury.

Without Lindsay, the Broncos have gone astray in games 16–14.

He made his comeback from injury in Week 6 counter to the New England Patriots.

Lindsay ran for 101 yards throughout the game during the 18–12 victory.

In Week 8, counter to the Los Angeles Chargers, Lindsay hurried 6 times for 83 yards (13.8 yards per carrying) and his opening touchdown during the 31–30 victory.

After Lindsay was kept on the injured list, he focused on his recovery rather than on games. He finished the 2020 season with 502 rushing yards and one touchdown.

He was talking about the 2021 season. Phillip was placed on a right of the first refusal on March 16, 2021, by the Broncos.

Later on March 18, 2021, the Broncos canceled the tender with Phillip making him an unrestricted free agent.

Suspension and Injuries 

In September 2018, they caught Phillip while throwing punches after Sunday’s 27-14 loss to the Ravens.

However, later, Lindsay stated that he was only trying to punch the football. 

Hence, he fell into a one-game suspension; however, he again refused the discipline from the league, which turned out much worse later. 

Initially, Phillip Lindsay struggled with a wrist injury on December 24, 2018.

During the second-half loss to the Oakland Raiders, he had a wrist ligament tear, and hence, he missed the Broncos’ season finale against the Chargers. 

Two years later, on September 14, 2020, Lindsay had a pedal toe sprain in Week 1 against the Titans. Well, due to this injury, he missed the last three games. 

Not long after it, he had a cranial head concussion which was, fortunately, not a serious one. He was injured during the first half of the Broncos’ Week 7 game against the Chiefs. 

Again, on November 29, 2020, he sustained a minor knee injury during the Broncos’ game against the New Orleans Saints.

His recent injury was on December 19, 2020, when Lindsay suffered a knee injury in the Broncos’ loss to the Bills. Right then, he also had a hip injury and hence, missed out on the rest of the 2020 season.
