Likewise, the college got the second position in the California Community College Athletic Association (CCCAA). It was all because Rigo recorded 109 points and also pushed up school records of 76-for-77 on additional points and 11 field goals.

After that, he set a glorious school record for career field goals with 22 and a program-long 54-yard field goal.

In the year 2015, Rigo transferred to the University of Hawaii. Sanchez Performed in 12 games as punter and placekicker; after that, he played eight games, making kickoffs.

Moreover, Rigo is one of only five athletes countrywide who controlled all four kicking responsibilities for their programs.

Sadly, the team faced a 46-9 loss. For the Colts, Rigoberto punted six times, aimed at 302 total yards for a 50.30 middling.

Even though the team lost that season, Sanchez made 84 punts for 3,764 net yards for a 44.81 average.

In the year 2018 and 2019, he was able to sustain the score and skills he showed during his rookie season.

All of this led the colts to make a four-year deal with Sanchez and an $11.6 million contract extension until the 2023 season.

Like how everything is not sunshine, a depressing thing occurred in Sanchez’s life when he was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor.

As we all know, cancer is one of the most heart-wrenching and harmful diseases to have ever existed. 

In the year 2020, Rigoberto told the media that he would go under the knife to remove the tumor.

By god’s grace and early diagnosis, the surgery was a success. 

After resting for two weeks, Rigo returned to the practice, which is not a common sight for someone who just had surgery.

Anyways, he must have consulted with his doctor before taking such a step.

But his coach did not let him play immediately after the practice session. Not to mention, Rigo had known about the tumor long ago but still kept on playing.
