Russell Westbrook III is a famous American professional basketball player who plays for the Los Angeles Clippers in the NBA.

Growing up in a family with a strong sports background, his talent emerged at a young age. He is now a prominent NBA figure and has achieved a lot on his journey, starting with his success in college.

His NBA venture commenced in 2008 when he was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics, a team later known as the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Under the guidance of his father, Russell Westbrook Sr., young Russell’ devoted much of his youth to honing his basketball skills.

Russell’s exceptional abilities earned him a significant role in the American basketball team, representing the United States in the 2010 FIBA World Championship and the 2012 Olympics. His contribution helped his nation in winning gold medals in these tournaments.

Russell’s remarkable feat came in 2017, as he became only the second player in basketball history to achieve the highest number of triple-doubles in a single NBA season.

Like Russell, Raynard is a sports enthusiast who craved his name in a different field. He attended the University of Central Oklahoma and played college football after his freshman year at El Camino College.

But, unlike his elder brother, Raynard decided not to pursue a professional football career and instead focused on furthering his education.

After earning a master’s degree in communication and media studies, he joined the family business, Russell Westbrook Enterprises/ Zero World Media.

Since 2019, he has been working as the chief content officer. The company aims to help and improve around the world through investments and strategic partnerships.

Russell Westbrook was born on November 12, 1988, to his parents, Russell Westbrook and Shanon.

Russell Westbrook Jr., the father of the Lakers’ point guard, also played basketball during his college years.
