Shannon Boxx, born on June 29, 1977, is a name etched in American women’s soccer history annals.

From her multiple Olympic gold medals to World Cup achievements, Shannon’s legacy is one of dedication and perseverance.

A retired soccer player, Shannon’s last match came for the Chicago Red Stars in the American National Women’s Soccer League. 

She won three Olympic gold medals with the United States. Moreover, she won an NCAA Women’s Soccer Championship with Notre Dame in 1995.

In addition, Shannon was inducted into the 2022 National Soccer Hall of Fame on May 21 in Frisco, Texas.

As of now, Shannon is stepping up on behalf of those diagnosed with lupus. Her initiatives are backed by her own experience of battling the disease since 2007.

Zoe Rae Spearman, born in February 2014, is the eldest child in the Boxx-Spearman family.

Reportedly, she entered the world less than a month after her mother, Shannon, tied the knot with her father, Aaron.

Now a 12-year-old, Zoe is a talented youngster. She’s a fourth-grader with big dreams of becoming an athlete when she grows up.

Similarly, Zoe is no stranger to the soccer field. She plays for her school team and is also part of the competitive gymnastics team at the Multnomah Athletic Club.

In her free time, she enjoys swimming in their home pool and attending soccer games with her mom, as evident from Shannon’s social media posts.

In fact, Zoe was even present at the 2015 World Cup game when she was just 20 months old. It showcases the close bond between mother and daughter.

My daughter has been a big reason why I wanted to come back after having her,” Shannon mentioned prior to her last run at the World Cup in 2015.

It highlights the motivational role Zoe has played in her soccer journey.

Meet Jaden Spearman

Jaden Spearman, the youngest of Shannon Boxx’s two children, was born in October 2016.

In light of Shannon’s Instagram post, he recently graduated from kindergarten and embarked on his first-grade journey on August 29th.

Further, she describes Jaden as intelligent, funny, and lovable, showcasing their strong mother-son bond.

Shannon Boxx and Aaron Spearman tied the knot in February 2014. However, the couple’s love story dates back to 2008, when they began dating.

They celebrated their marriage in a private ceremony, marking the start of their beautiful journey together.
