Well, Trevor Immelman started playing golf at an early age of six after announcing his passion for the sport to his family. Indeed, seeing him determined and happy, his parents supported him fully for it.

Immelman first started professionally in the field in 1999. Initially, he starred in the second-tier professional tour in Europe, where he was a full member in 2001.

Apparently, it was the injuries that weigh Immelman down in the long run later. It started back in 2007 when Immelman faced severe discomfort around his ribcage area and a problem breathing.
Indeed, it became the reason for him to withdraw from the South African Airways Open. Eventually, he underwent surgery on 18 December 2007, as doctors discovered a lesion in his diaphragm.
