Mathieu was born in New Orleans, Louisiana, the United States. His biological parents are Darrin Hayes and Shelia Mathieu.
His biological father has been an absent figure his entire life and is currently serving a life sentence for murder. Darrin was involved in a robbery and was in jail when Mathieu came into this world.
