Medina has been with baseball ever since his early phase in life. Initially, he commenced playing in the minor league after signings as an international free agent with the Philadelphia Phillies. 

Apparently, he made his minor league debut with the Dominican Summer League Phillies.

At first, Medina posted an average of 1.37 earned run average (ERA) with 22 strikeouts (SO) in 26.2 innings pitched (IP).

During his tenure in the minor league, Medina played in the Gulf Coast Phillies and the Class A-Short Williamsport Crosscutters. Afterward, in 2017, the Baseball Prospectus ranked him the # 91 minor league prospect. 

Furthermore, he also played alongside the Class A Lakewood BlueClaws and the Class A-Advanced Clearwater Threshers.

That very year, the Baseball Prospectus ranked him as the # 46 minor leaguer, while he was the # 84 minor leaguer by Baseball America. 

By 2018, Adonis Medina had already starred as the 4th-best prospect in the Phillies minor league system.

Moving on to the last year of his games, Medina pitched for the Reading Fightin Phils of the Class AA Eastern League.

Major League Baseball 

At first, Medina commenced the 2020 season for the training in Lehigh Valley. However, on September 20, 2020, he was recalled to the team and made his major league debut. 

Later, he played against the Toronto Blue Jays at Citizens Bank Park as the Philadelphia Phillies’ starting pitcher. But, sadly, he had a lagged start for his big day and didn’t perform well.
