Controversy

Baron’s selection of UCLA also led him to a minor controversy. At that time, Davis used to drive a 1991 Chevy Blazer. It was a gift from his sister to him.

Baron’s sister was a UCLA employee. Further, it turned out that his sister had bought the car from Jim Harrick’s family member. Jim Harrick was a coach at UCLA’s men’s basketball team.

The situation was odd for Baron because rumor had been that his sister purchased the car at a low price.

He didn’t stay long at the Cavaliers. On December 19, 2011, Baron signed a one-year contract with the New York Knicks.
