Ben Simmons will troll you back if you troll him.

While sitting out last week’s game because of COVID, Ben Simmons found himself under attack. But, on the other hand, he went in for a quick shot.

After Justin’s commentary during Philadelphia’s win over the Wizards on Friday, Simmons retaliated by sharing a funny picture of Kuther on his Instagram story.

“I’ve said it before, and I know I’ll take the flak for it; Ben Simmons is one of, if not the most, overrated players in the N.B.A.,”

Kutcher said during the third quarter of N.B.C. Sports Washington’s Wizards-76ers broadcast.

“He’s gotten so much love and attention that people aren’t paying attention to what Tobias Harris is doing on the floor.”

Simons returned to Kutcher’s Instagram photo on January 15, 2018, and shared it on his story. We can see Kutcher with sunglasses on, wearing a bathrobe, and drinking in his hand in the picture.

“Another casual,” he captioned the photo.

Kutcher, who also works for Fox Sports, was correct in referring to “flak” in his hot take. Former N.B.A. star Kendrick Perkins criticized Kutcher on Twitter for his thoughts on Simmons.

“Did he just say that Ben Simmons is the most overrated player in the league? Shame on him. This has to be the most disturbing thing I’ve heard all year. Does he realize that Simmons is the front-runner for DPOY?! #ridiculous.” Perkins wrote.

Kutcher’s Back-Up Estimation

However, Kutcher backed up his estimation of Simmons, taking to Twitter shortly after the game to affirm his assessment while clarifying that he didn’t mean the three-time All-Star was terrible.

“Yep, I said that Ben Simmons is one of the most overrated players in the N.B.A., and I stand by it. I didn’t say he was BAD, just not as good as everyone makes him out to be. GREAT defender and a potential DPOY, but I think he’s made All-League/All-Star Teams based on hype. And..goodnight.”

Simmons is averaging 16 points a game, almost eight assists, and eight rebounds.
