During his playing career, Gilbert won a total of 20 singles titles achieving the career-high singles ranking of world No.4 and doubles of No.18.
He also remained a runner-up in a further 20 singles events before retiring from professional tennis in 1995.

Brad Gilbert Coaching Career
Gilbert gave up playing in 1995. Since then, he has had success coaching tennis, with accomplishments frequently linked to the exceptional tactical skills displayed during his own contests.
Brad remained as a coach for Andre Agassi for eight years (1994 to 2002). During that time, Agassi won six of his eight majors.
Later, he coached Andy Roddick and led him to the 2003 US Open along with the year-end world no. 1 for 2003 and the 2004 Wimbledon final.
After successfully coaching star tennis players such as Andy Murray, Alex Bogdanovic, Kei Nishikori, and Sam Querrey, Brad has now joined the team of rising American star Coco Gauff.
Since the adjustment in August, Coco has performed admirably, winning the women’s singles title at the Washington Open and then the Cincinnati Masters not long after.
