For the injury, she had to take bed rest for 11 months. Seyres talked about it vividly, 

“It was probably on the verge already since I had had a contracture at the thigh for a good month, putting pressure on the patellar ligament, which got the final blow in being asked to *jog on a treadmill compensated for that tendinitis with the other leg during the four games of the D2 tournament, and my weakened ankle gave away too.”

Eventually, she made her return in 2013 as a jammer.
