After winning the #1 contender’s battle royal, they received a WWE Tag Team Championship match.

Nevertheless, they were defeated by WWE Tag Team Champions Montel Vontavious Porter and Matt Hardy.

In 2009, he joined The Dude Busters alongside Caylen Croft and Trent Barreta and won the FCW Florida Tag Team Championship with Croft in late November of the same year.

WWE return

The Curt Hawkins of WWE returned after signing a new deal with WWE to join SmackDown. Upon returning to the platform, he accepted the challenge from Dolph Ziggler to fight him for Intercontinental Championship.

In an unfortunate event, he was defeated by Ziggler in mere seven seconds.

WWE reported that Hawkins and Ryder would confront The Revival at WrestleMania 35 for the Raw Tag Team Championship.

On the WrestleMania Kickoff Show, after having gathered a losing dash of 269 matches, Hawkins stuck Scott Dawson to win the Raw Tag Team Championship and finished his losing streak.

The next night on Raw, Curt and Ryder made their first successful title defense, defeating The Revival in a rematch.

Impact Wrestling

Following budget cuts due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Hawkins and Ryder was released by WWE on April 15, 2020. Hawkins later made his Impact wrestling comeback in July of the same year in a promo video.

Still, his actual in-ring comeback match took place on the August 11 episode of Impact Wrestling, which he lost to Eddie Edwards. It occurred after Brian accepted Eddie’s open challenge to fight for Impact World Championship.

However, on the November 8th episode of Smackdown, Hawkin defeated Apollo Crews and earned his first televised victory since returning.

 As part of the Superstar Shake-up, Curt was moved to Raw Brands, achieving a new milestone. But how? After losing to Apollo Crews, Finn Bálor, Seth Rollins, and Jason Jordan on July 17, it was disclosed that Hawkins had a losing streak of 100 matches.

And it was the longest losing streak of the ‘modern era’ as claimed by WWE.
