Fast forward to two seasons without any game appearances, the quarterback got in the game in Week 14 of the 2023 season. Stick replaced injured Herbert in a 24-7 loss to the Denver Broncos; there he threw 179 yards.
After Justin was out with a season-ending injury, Stick became the starting quarterback for the Chargers in the week 15 game against the Las Vegas Raiders.
