Kevin Knox II, an Arizona-born and Florida-raised American basketball power forward, plays for the Detroit Pistons (2023- present) in the NBA.

They signed him on the rest-of-season contract worth $2.14 million for the 2023-24 season.

He joins the Pistons players like Bojan Bogdanovic, Joe Harris, Marvin Bagley III, and Cade Cunningham, among others.

Knox was the 9th overall pick of the Knicks in the 2018 NBA draft, straight out of University of Kentucky.

In his rookie season, he scored his career-high 31 points with seven rebounds in a 103-108 loss to the 76ers on January 13, 2019.

Amid his third season, he was traded to the Atlanta Hawks where he spent the rest of the 2021-22 season. After that, he would split his 2022-23 season with the Pistons and Trail Blazers.

Knox II, the Pistons small forward/power forward, is the eldest of four kids. He has two younger brothers, Kobe and Karter Knox, and a youngest sister, Ashley.

Born on August 11, 1999, the Kentucky Wildcats alum is 24 years old as of 2024.

His younger brother Kobe was born on July 26, 2002, which makes his age 21 now.

On the other, the youngest of three brothers (second-youngest of four kids), Karter (b. May 16, 2005) is 18 years old.

The three Knox brothers have an age gap of nearly three years with each other. Kevin is two years & 11 months older than Kobe, and 5 years & nine months older than Karter.

The NBA player’s youngest sibling, sister Ashley, born on February 19, 2008, is 16 years old. She is nine years younger than Kevin.

All siblings of Kevin II play basketball and they are also attendants of his alma mater, Tampa Catholic High School.

The second-eldest, Kobe, currently plays as a guard for the University of South Florida men’s basketball team.

The 6 feet 5 inches tall player joined the South Florida Bulls on May 13, 2023, as a redshirt sophomore transfer.

Earlier, he attended Grand Canyon University, where he averaged 5.3 points per game, 1.7 rebounds, and 40 assists, scoring a career-high 21 points in the 2022-23 season.

Kevin’s other brother, Karter, led the Tampa Catholic High in scoring and averaged 20 points per game in two seasons. He is the class of 2024 and plays as a small forward at the Overtime Elite.

Karter, 6 feet 5 inches, was a member of the 2022 USA basketball men’s U17 national team.

The former Knicks player’s sister, Ashley, who stands 6 feet tall, is a basketball guard at Tampa Catholic High School (class of 2026).

Who Are Kevin Knox’s Parents?

Knox’s parents are Kevin Knox (b. January 30, 1971) and Michelle Knox. His father is a former NFL wide receiver who played the 1994 season with the Arizona Cardinals.

He was the 6th round pick of the Cardinals in the 1994 NFL draft. Later, he spent time with NFL Europe’s Rhein Fire (1996) and CFL’s Hamilton Tiger-Cats (1997) before retiring.

Kevin Sr. is an alumnus of the Florida State University, where he caught 102 passes for 1,431 yards and 11 touchdowns. With the Seminoles, he won the 1993 national championship.

The NBA star’s mother, Michelle, played volleyball at Florida State.

It was during the college years when his parents met. They began dating in 1990 and after five years of relationship, they married on December 30, 1995.

Michelle even shared an Instagram post on their 26th wedding anniversary.
