After his 2006 NBA Draft, Lowry earned $1.01 million playing for Memphis Grizzlies during his rookie season. Later, in his second season, he made $1.08 million. 

But Lowry was traded to the Rockets the following season (in the 2009-10 season), which earned him $2.03 million.

He signed four years deal worth $24 million with the Rockets on July 15, 2010.
